What to expect with Morpheus Skin Rejuvenation
Morpheus8® is a safe, non-surgical, and effective treatment for wrinkles, looseness, scars, stretch marks, acne, discoloration, and other skin irregularities in the face and body. It works on people with all skin types and skin tones, for many different indications. A series of 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart, is typically recommended for maximum effect, although some improvement can be noted even after 1-2 treatments. Full effects are not achieved until 3-6 months after treatment. Regular retreatment is advised to maintain the best results. Before a procedure, your provider will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area for 30-45 minutes. During the skin rejuvenation treatment, you may feel pressure and warmth, or possibly a dull discomfort, but it’s typically painless. Recovery is rapid. You may have some redness, swelling, and itching for 2-3 days, or see some visible pinpoint marks on the skin surface for about a week. After a Morpheus rejuvenation treatment, you should avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen for 2 weeks.
What to expect with Forma
Having Forma is typically a very relaxing experience. A cooling ultrasound gel is applied to the surface of the skin, and the probe is moved back and forth on the surface of the treatment area. During the skin tightening treatment, you will feel a comfortable, warm sensation similar to a hot stone massage. A typical Forma treatment takes about 30-60 minutes per area. After the treatment, the area is cleaned, dried, and a layer of lotion or sunscreen is applied. Recovery is rapid with very minimal downtime. You may have some redness and swelling for 1-2 days. After a treatment, you should avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen for 2 weeks.
